Covers That Draw You In

Conventional wisdom reminds us that the old maxim remains true: “You can’t judge a book by its cover.”  Who, after flipping the final pages of a literary masterpiece wonders, “This book sure could have used nicer cover art”?  Exteriors don’t always truly reflect what’s inside, but who could deny the allure of an exterior that compels us to discover what lies within?

We were reminded of this when we met local musician, DJ Insomniac, who came in with a request for a short-run duplication job for his new compilation album “The Winter of Insomnia.”  Typically, clients needing CD DVD duplication in smaller quantities require only basic packaging to keep costs low, but we were surprised and more than just a little impressed when he placed his order for 100 CDs packaged in high gloss, UV coated, photo finish DigiPaks.  While his CD artwork was in black and white, he refused the less expensive monotone printing and opted for our most expensive premium printing alternative to give his CD artwork a more vivid and eye-catching look.
